HUGO SIDA

Hugo Sida, with 20+ years experience with boxing, kickboxing, muay thai, wrestling, and jiu jitsu (MMA), was first introduced into Ninjutsu by his brother, Sensei Jose Sida and Shihan Jorge Nieto, at age 14.

Combining Ninjutsu with Jiu-Jitsu, boxing, and kickboxing, Jorge and Jose made this an art all of their own. Hugo competed and won the first ever 3-Man MMA tournament at age 17.  Shortly after in 1999, Hugo fought for the title and won the free form combat championship belt at 189 lbs. in Go For Broke 3.  Hugo discovered his love for Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighting and took it a step further.

Limited, he left his home, friends and family at age 18, to go train in San Diego, CA. There he trained and fought under Ken Shamrock’s Lions Den Submission Academy for three years. Trained by professional UFC fighters such as Ken Shamrock, Pete Williams, Vernon White, Tony Galindo, Muay Thai World Champion Miguel Reyes, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt Manolo (El Huracan) Hernandez.  He was challenged on a whole other level.
